Starting Small

Byer was introduced to NTT in 2021 to help with SEO optimization for a small microsite. Through the course of this small engagement, we identified several concerns related to the effectiveness of digital marketing based on the platform at the time. As consultants we quickly introduced a strategy to bring the platform up to a level to achieve digital marketing success. From this start, we quickly became lead agency for three of their emerging businesses.

Beautifying the Data

As cybersecurity leaders, NTT produces an annual report citing data from their global threat intelligence center. In 2022 Byer was tasked to build the latest annual report using data from the NTT data analysts. We followed a structured process to consolidate the data into a beautiful, easily digestible report featuring custom illustrations, graphs, and infographics. Byer delivered the report and supporting marketing collateral to NTT for distribution within their portfolio of security-based companies. Byer also wrote and distributed the press release announcing the report and managed the PR channels to gain press coverage.

Byer has produced the reports for 2023 and 2024 using this same successful strategy.

Standing Out in a Crowd

The cybersecurity landscape is crowded with vendors, most of them producing annual reports. For NTT’s report to standout, we wanted to provide a design scheme that set it apart as the premiere source for accurate data. The Byer team produced a unique design every year while adhering to the NTT Global Brand Guidelines. Our goal each year was to be clear, grab attention, and maximize distribution.

Maximize Awareness

Byer developed a library of assets for each release of the annual report to be distributed in press outlets, social media, and digital distribution platforms. The libraries consisted of visuals that would summarize primary concepts in the report. The social series of assets helped tell the story of the conclusions in the report, encouraging the audience to download the report for the details.

Data in Motion

As a bonus, Byer provided a set of motion graphics and videos to bring the report data to life. In our competitive analysis we noticed very few competitors utilized motion graphics in their annual report promotion. The Byer team’s creative approach helped tell the story visually while gaining more attention than traditional flat graphics.
