Aircraft Services International chooses Metro Video to design and build a CCTV system for the LAX tank farm. The system will be a fiber optic based backbone with networking capability to the LAX security system. Completion of the LAX Fuel tank farm is scheduled for 1st quarter 2003.

The City of Thousand Oaks California has selected Metro Video Systems out of a pool of seven competing vendors to provide design/build services for a new state-of-the art security system for the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza.

Metro Video distanced itself from the competition by providing on-site demonstrations of highly advanced digital solutions that met the needs of the city. Conceptual submittals were reviewed by a select city board who unanimously gave the nod to Metro Video. Team members for the project include Robert Weir, Tim Weir and Todd Byer. The design phase is complete and phase one of the multi-phase implementation has been commissioned.

San Diego Unified School District

Metro Video Systems has been awarded a 5 year contract to install and maintain a district wide CCTV system for the San Diego Unified School District. The system will be a network based system with local digital recording of video and remote monitoring and playback from a central video monitoring station. San Diego City Schools consist of 119 School and administration sites.

We have delivered the first system at Gompers Secondary School with new projects for Hoover High School, De Portola Middle School in design phase.

Palm Springs Police Department

Metro Video has built a Microwave air link CCTV system for the Palm Springs Police Department. Cameras are mounted in the downtown Palm Springs area to provide added safety and security within the popular tourist destination.

Video and control signals are transmitted via air link microwave to the Police Department. The video is displayed in the 911 dispatch center. The camera systems are Pelco Spectra Domes. The microwave equipment is Premier Wireless. The switch is a Pelco 9760 and the digital video recorder is a Pelco DX9000.

We have recently installed a CCTV system for the City of Los Angeles, Department of Parks and Recreation in the Rescue Habitat for the California Condor. The program is located within the Los Angeles zoo. The CCTV system allows zoo staff to monitor the Condors more closely without disturbing them. The project designer is Robert Weir and the installation crew is Dan Burley and Kevin Abshier.
